Those of you who know me personally understand that, although I enjoy seeing all sorts of wonderful and well-constructed cosplays, cosplay mashups have always been my favorite. Maybe because in my head, trying to incorporate two different characters or genres into one costume seems twice as hard because creativity is important in order to pull it together properly.
Like our other 2013 retrospectives — of genderbent and crossplay photos, the gents and the ladies — the list is purely subjective, in some cases based on the work of our photographers and friends in the cosplay community.
