Anime Boston was held a few weeks ago in chilly late March, and our photography editor KBV Photography was in attendance, grabbing shots of the anime cosplay goodness. Not surprisingly, the immensely popular anime Kill La Kill was the focus of many of the cosplayers. Nudist Beach group shots, anyone?

In the last few months, I have met so many hardcore fans of League of Legends where they express their love for their game and the characters through costume creation. One such person is cosplayer Danielle Beaulieu, who created a wonderful Wildfire Zyra cosplay at Anime Boston 2013, and at ConnectiCut 2013 created her interpretation of […]
Anime Boston is known for attracting some of the region’s most talented tailors and cosplayers. Every year the hallways are lined with gorgeous ensembles and this year, the creation of Joshua Hart really caught my eye. I scheduled a photo-shoot with Joshua, and asked him a little about his personal experiences in the world of […]
At AnimeBoston 2013, FirstPerson Shooter Photography met up with cosplayer Gina B., and together created this awesome photo collection. The cosplay is of the character Urd from the Japanese series Oh My Goddess! I am very impressed with the level of craftmanship of the wings. Check it out!
KBV Photography is preparing her collection of Anime Boston 2013 photos to show on this website, and we have prepared this teaser of her work. These are shots of a group of Madoka Magica cosplayers. “We had a Kyoko, but we lost her before the shoot started [laughs], which was funny, because at one point during […]
A few Fridays ago, on the eve of Memorial Day weekend, I hit up Anime Boston to kick off my holiday right. With camera in hand, I roamed the hallways collecting photographs of well-dressed cosplayers, and soaked in everything this now-seasoned convention had to offer this now-seasoned convention-goer. Anime Boston and I grew up together. […]

One of my favorite professional photographers, FirstPerson Shooter, took some exciting hallway shots of the cosplayers that attended Anime Boston 2013. Check it out and see why he should be your favorite photographer as well!
This past weekend my friend and I were fortunate enough to attend Animaine. We were introduced to the con’s president Colin Harvie and he described Animaine as a “pro-industry convention.” I do not know much about anime, identifying more with the scifi crowd, so I had no idea what that meant. Fortunately, we had arrived […]

Anime Boston was a whirlwind of fun this year! The Post-Apocalyptic Theme was incredibly present as the artistic installations and ambiance were really stepped up this year. One of the most popular costumes this year was Finn (and Fionna) from Adventure Time. One of the biggest costumes was a massive replica of Berzerk Fury from […]

I’ll come right out with it—I’m not a huge anime person, or “otaku.” I’d never watched a lick of anything that could even remotely be considered anime until about a year and a half ago. “The Boyfriend” is hugely into pretty much anything Japanese, and at his urging, I watched a couple of series (Fate/Stay […]
