Super Megafest 2019 Gallery by FirstPerson Shooter, Saturday Part 1
With Super Megafest coming back to the Sheraton in Framingham, Mass., last year, and to the month of November the weather has become more of a factor again. And as has happened some years, this past weekend was very cold, and even saw some spitting snow. It didn’t prevent the bravest of cosplayers from going outside for some shoots, and you’ll see some of those coming up from Zephyrlynk Productions in future sets.
But still, despite a seemingly smaller crowd than previous years, I shot four full galleries of images of cosplayers on Saturday. To be fair, it was a very slow start, as the Friday evening pre-parties were — I’m told — extensive and lengthy. There were cosplayers who got their first coffee of the day at the Starbucks kiosk I sat close to as late as 1 p.m.
One of the most enjoyable aspects of Super Megafest is just casually running into the celebrities in the hotel as they do normal things like getting breakfast or having a drink at the bar. This year I saw John Schneider and Tom Wopat, French Stewart and Edward Furlong (and I even prevented a huge Bane cosplayer from backing into and possibly crushing him).
Cosplayers in this first of four Saturday galleries include, Alice’n Blunnderland, Cares O-Lot Cosplay, aestheticworkhorse, Jonathan X Cosplay, Bil from This Week Was Way Better Last Year, Adventures of Clever, emu.cabbage.cosplay, calistacoryn, jimihalfdead, katiehalfdead, R.W. Martin, Kurious Costumes, Petry Cosplays, Ashley-Marie Cosplay, Brandon the Shapeshifter, Koi Fish Asylum, West Street Studios, Wonderllama Photography, lostsanitycosplays, and many more.
We now use Smugmug to present cosplay photo galleries and will post all photos there, with a link to each gallery in its own gallery article. This will allow us to give you higher resolution images to download — still for free.
