The 25th Annual Photography Hunger Games – sorry, Katsucon 2020 – was an incredible event. As always, the weekend-long anime convention brought out the very best in cosplay, much of it anime-themed along with the usual variety of pop culture-oriented designs.
For anyone who hasn’t been to Katsucon, a big part of the draw is the amazing Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center near Washington D.C. It’s one of the best convention locations to photograph people; it has an incredibly open indoor space with natural light, varied outdoor areas and gardens, a waterfront, fountains, and more. And the famous – infamous? – gazebo. The crush to get that perfect gazebo photo has spawned countless Hunger Games jokes.
