The Witcher Cosplay Over the Years As An Actor Recovers
To make these retrospective cosplay galleries I scour through folders of images from as far back as 2011. I was surprised to see the first photos of Witcher cosplayers I took was at DragonCon 2013. In the gallery is a photo of Geralt from The Witcher 2 with the Scoia’tael leader Iorveth.
On March 16 the producers of the Netflix series The Witcher announced that Season 2 actor Kristofer Hivju, who played Tormund Giantsbane on Game of Thrones, tested positive for the coronavirus. The producers immediately shut down production for at least two weeks and gave the sets a “deep cleaning.” Given the announcement by the British government of a country-wide lockdown on March 23, it seems unlikely the show will resume filming any time soon.
While all of these cosplayers are doing an excellent job, I particularly like when people do their own take on characters. Of note is the amazing Jay Justice using her mobility scooter as Roach, while wearing the Ursine School armor.
