Summer Cosplay Contest Series August Winners, And The Overall Champion!
The final two events in the Summer Cosplay Contest Series were held last Saturday, Aug. 22 — the August Qualifier and immediately afterward the Summer Finals. Once the winners were decided by our judges, they announced who was the best in all three shows, in which the June and the July winners competed against the just-named August first place award recipient.
Those judges included Everybody Loves Tony Ray, Silhouette Cosplay, Miss Kit Quinn and SoloRoboto Industries. Once again the host for the evening was the amazing Boston’s Deadpool. All prizes were cash, with $100 going to the 1st Place award winner in each Qualifier, $50 to the Runner-up and $25 each to all Judge’s Award winners and the Host’s Award winner. Top prize for the champion of the entire series was $250.
The format for the Summer Cosplay Contest Series was three contests and a finals over three months, all held online, streamed live on The Covinator’s Twitch channel and our YouTube channel. June 28th, July 25th and August 22 were the qualifier contest dates, with the finals held right after the August qualifier.

Host Award & Judges Award = yolandaaaaa as Venomoth
Judge’s Award = mcheretic as Y’Shtola Rhul from Final Fantasy 14
Judge’s Award = Carrie from Powers Family CozPlay as the xenomorph from Alien
Judge’s Award = Horror Queen Cosplay as Cinderella (70th Anniversary Doll version)
And the Champion of the entire Summer Cosplay Contest Series is: Dovah Design as Knight Artorias, the July Qualifier winner!
