Game Of Thrones Targaryen Family Retrospective Cosplay Gallery

The upcoming HBO series House Of The Dragon has named a handful of more cast members, including the always fun to watch Rhys Ifans. The series, based on part of the book Fire & Blood, is a prequel to the series Game of Thrones set during the Targaryen civil war called the Dance of the Dragons, 300 years prior to the previous series.

I initially thought to run a gallery of all characters from Game of Thrones that I have photographed over the years. But that gallery was 212 images long, so I decided to run just the Targaryens I’ve taken pictures of. The vast majority of those photos are of cosplayers portraying Daenerys Targaryen, arguably the most popular character from the books and TV series. And I haven’t taken any photos of a Viserys cosplayer, or one of the hidden Targaryens, Maester Aemon.

However I have taken plenty of pictures of people cosplaying the most important hidden Targaryen — SPOILER alert for a series that ended two years ago — Jon Snow, who is the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and actually named Aegon Targaryen. So the gallery contains pictures of the nephew-lover and her nephew, along with anyone in any photo with the two of them.
