New York Comic Con 2022 Cosplay Gallery By TheValderanaFotos

For a whole pile of reasons, some of which we are still trying to get answers for, we didn’t have a team at New York Comic Con this year. Luckily, we have enough photographer friends that we can present photos they took while attending the biggest convention on the East Coast. Alex of thevaldaranafotos on Instagram was happy to give us the gallery of more than 40 images you can see the at the link below.

If you have been to NYCC recently you can see that Alex was taking his photos at a bunch of locations, both in the Jacob K. Javits Center and outside. A number of the pictures were taken in the park and other spots near the relatively new subway station that is the Manhattan end of the 7 line, just a block away from the Javits. Other locations are in the Javits, and in the underpass (aka the “tunnel”) that is a favorite of the many, many cosplay photographers that swarm NYCC each year.

Alex is an excellent photographer and all of these photos are gems, but I chose the photo of the Captain Spider-Noir mashup as the featured image because of the beautiful reflection of NYC in his shiny shield. Just an incredible capture of a really innovative cosplay.
