Arisia 2023 Sunday Cosplay Gallery
As is typical on a Sunday at nearly any convention, this past Sunday was even less busy at Arisia than Saturday was. But, since the con is always held on Martin Luther King Jr. Day and runs into that Monday, the drop off on any Sunday is less than with most cons.
That was the case with this past Arisia. Instead of the just above 90 images in the Saturday gallery, this Sunday gallery has just less than 80. That seems oddly high, since last Arisia in 2020, I combined Sunday and Monday’s photos to get just over 100 images in a single gallery. The reason for the higher numbers this year seems to be because a handful of cosplayers showed up only on Sunday, to compete in or watch the Masquerade. So, despite the convention seeming to have about 50 percent of the number of attendees as it had in 2020, my Sunday was busier taking photos than the last year Arisia was held.
Speaking of the Masquerade, at least five of the Masquerade winners are in the gallery linked below. Congratulations to them and all the winners this year. And as I noted in the previous post, Arisia is the kind of super nerdy convention where you are likely to see cosplay you wouldn’t find anywhere else except maybe Dragon Con. Case in point, the final set is cosplay from the TV adaptation of Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency.
Cosplayers in this last gallery from Arisia 2023 include Redfield design, miserbilality, ashleydarkphoenix, Hassan Cosplay Photography, Carley Winn Cosplay, michelleclight, Mink the Satyr Cosplay, Nerdcred Cosplay, Colonial Armory, lostsanitycosplays, matrixvampyr, papaya.blossom.cosplay, cosplay_buttercup, makermage, vulpirecosplay, Inevitable Betrayal Cosplay, makemerayne, and many more.
We use Smugmug to present cosplay photo galleries and post all photos there, with a link to each gallery in its own gallery article. This allows us to give you higher resolution images to download — still for free.
