Arisia is an old-school science fiction and fantasy convention held in Boston every January, with panels on topics like gender roles in science fiction movies and proper etiquette in boffer games, among many others. The cosplay trends toward steampunk and fantasy, but there is also a good showing of superheroes and even some gaming cosplays.
