Get A Free Pass To A Screening Of ‘Midnight Special’

In our second ticket giveaway to a pre-release screening of a movie in our nerdy wheelhouse, we have the smaller, intimate film Midnight Special on Tuesday, March 29 in Boston at 7 p.m. While the things that you want to know are that it stars Michael Shannon (General Zod) and Adam Driver (Kylo Ren), below is the marketing-speak description, straight from Warner Bros.:

Writer/director Jeff Nichols proves again that he is one of the most compelling storytellers of our time with the sci-fi thriller Midnight Special.  A provocative, genre-defying film as supernatural as it is intimately human, it follows a father, Roy (Michael Shannon), who goes on the run to protect his young son, Alton (Jaeden Lieberher), a boy with mysterious powers that even Roy himself cannot comprehend.

Midnight Special has an 87% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and early reviews call it a really innovative take on the concept explored in movies like Firestarter and Powder, with outstanding acting. The cast also includes Joel Edgerton and Kirsten Dunst. Check out the trailer at the end of the article.

Like our last giveaway, you need to go to the Facebook page for our upcoming convention, the Cosplay And Photography Expo, and again, there is no requirement to buy anything, but if you want to check out our con coming up on Aug. 6-7 and maybe buy a cheap ticket, we won’t object.
