Aesthel as Hatsune Miku by ZephyrLynk Productions
The final featured set by Zephyrlynk Productions from Granite State Comicon 2018 is of Aesthel once again, this time cosplaying as everyone’s favorite virtual singer, Hatsune Miku. Not exactly an anime character, Miku is a Vocaloid — a set of singing vocalizations, or a voicebank, created by Crypton Future Media for Yamaha’s Vocaloid singing synthesizer technology.
To go along with the voicebank, Crypton Future Media created the character of 16 year-old Hatsune Miku, which it calls its official “moe anthropomorph.” There are many costumes and looks for Miku, and in this gallery, Aesthel is cosplaying the version from the Love is War music video.
As we mentioned in the last featured set, Aesthel is a New England-based cosplayer, model and artist, and the owner of a shop called Runic Treasures, in which she sells custom designed Tarot decks. He cosplay inspirations have come from fantasy, gaming, anime, movies — a wide range of nerd fandoms.
