Anime Boston 2024 Friday Gallery Part 3 By FirstPerson Shooter

Sadly, I wrapped up Friday of Anime Boston 2024 with a bonehead amateur mistake. I hadn’t seen Jason (cubseidl) and Cass (clillithcosplay) since Fan Expo Boston last August, and they showed up about 30 minutes before the show floors closed. Cass was Nicholas D. Wolfwood and Jason was Roberto de Niro from Trigun Stampede. After chatting and catching up for more than a few minutes, Cass realized that they didn’t have Wolfwood’s cross-gun and went out to their parked car to get it for photos. Once they got back and started posing in my studio space, I went to take the first picture — and my camera informed me the battery was dead.

No problem, I always keep at least one spare in my camera backpack, except this time. So, in addition to not being able to take their photos, I made Cass run out to the car for a heavy prop for no reason. Put a pretty big downer end to an otherwise awesome day. They were great sports about it, but, as the kids say; feels bad, man.

Part of the awesomeness of the latter part of Friday came from the trio of Frieren cosplayers in this gallery. I knew (and greatly anticipated) that there would be a bunch of people cosplaying Frieren, since it is one of the most popular and well-reviewed anime series in years. But to have three of them show up as a group at once — that elicited a serious fist-pump of joy.

In this last Friday gallery are cosplayers gracedbycosplay, chellebellecosplay, deshsaionji, star._sakamaki._, ayarinkristy, adult_supervision_cosplay, polarwildcatstudios, sicophant, gomontego, wraith_rex_cosplay, dirtsenpai, Metallic Moon Cosplay, syvenequeen, legiteric117, adrian.d.spider, grubbypirateboy, love_my_anime, jaygottacosplay, assassinani, travel_kitty7, nxght.lxght, and more.

We now use Smugmug to present cosplay photo galleries and will post all photos there, with a link to each gallery in its own gallery article. This will allow us to give you higher resolution images to download — still for free.
