Anime Boston 2024 Saturday Gallery Part 4 By FirstPerson Shooter
Saturday ended pretty much like Friday did at Anime Boston 2024 — with me screwing up. Instead of running out of battery on my camera (and not having a spare) I ran out of space on my memory card (and didn’t have a spare). Just like Friday, I was sure I had a backup in my camera bag, but it was nowhere to be found. This time, it wasn’t in my second camera body at home — I still haven’t found that backup SD card anywhere. So that final shot of the day is just a single photo of that cosplayer, instead of my usual three to four.
The series One Piece is particularly well represented in this gallery, specifically by the nearly back-to-back cosplays of Buggy. And of course, a couple of Frieren cosplayers from Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, including one group of the original hero’s party.
Saturday evening my adventures with Lyft rides continued. I was standing in front of the Hynes on Boylston St. for at least 15 minutes, while the Lyft app said my driver was always just three minutes away, right around the corner on Massachusetts Ave. When he did finally show up, he explained it was because the Lyft GPS maps function wasn’t connecting. After a few more minutes of trying to get it to work, he finally opened Google Maps, typed in my address and we were off. Once we got out of the city, it occurred to me that if the app wasn’t tracking his car, he might not get credit for the ride. I looked at the app on my phone and it was now tracking the trip just fine, so it all worked out.
Cosplayers in this final Saturday gallery include a_phu14, morallygreycosplays, travel_kitty7, uju_cosplay, irisskies.cosplay, melcat567, cjay321.0, thejustincosplay, eventidesky, lokipalooza, savage83, solalunacosplay, gatomon47, darthlounatic, theautisticgoldfish, blossomingcosplay, a.mal.gam, lorendacosplayer, awkwardlyhere, rebel_princess_cosplay, onlystarchild, minnie_cosplays, kellyn.m.with.cosplay, wraith_rex_cosplay, and more.
