AnimeNEXT 2018 Cosplay Gallery, Friday Part 2

This year (for the first time ever, I believe), AnimeNEXT requested that fans holding a group meetup/photo shoot register them on their official website. Those running these meetups could request a time/day and choose from a number a pre-selected locations to hold their event at. This was something that I had hoped would get done for the past couple of years, as it had become apparent that many meetup organizers wanted to hold their gatherings around the same time (often the early afternoon hours on Saturday), at the same location (generally in the venue’s lobby area). Although this effort by AnimeNEXT’s organizers did not launch without a few hitches, it was still a welcome addition to the event, and one that I’m sure will be improved upon in the years to come.

Over a third of my photos in this gallery were taken at one of these photo shoots — Friday’s Shin Megami Tensei & Persona photo shoot. Steve Vo held a total of three of these gatherings during this year’s convention, as he has been doing for quite a few years now. He also holds photo shoots for this fandom at a number of other conventions on the east coast, so if you’re someone that has an interest in cosplaying a character from this popular video game series, I highly recommend participating in one of his future meetups.
