Leaving Arisia at 4 p.m. to avoid the snow storm definitely cut down the number of photos I took on Saturday, so this is the last gallery from that day. And I will combine Sunday and Monday into one gallery for tomorrow, since I didn’t take nearly enough photos Monday to add up to our minimum number for a gallery post.

Looking through the panel lists for Arisia 2020 made it clear that the focus of the con was changing very slightly. The number of 18+ panels was down slightly, and the number of pop culture panels was up slightly. Additionally, the number of cosplay-focused panels had climbed from previous years. To be clear, Arisia still had plenty of author readings, discussion panels about actual science and science fiction topics, and steampunk and fantasy panels. But it might be shifting ever so slightly in a more pop culture direction.

Even if Arisia might be a bit more like a pop culture nerd con, it wasn’t reflected in the cosplay as much as it has been in previous years. There was very little representation from the comic book cosplay community, aside from the DC cosplayers in this gallery. And while the big anime shows like My Hero Academia had a strong showing, there wasn’t much else from anime — except the awesome Demon Slayer cosplayers also in this gallery.

Among the cosplayers in this final Saturday gallery are villainamous, Glassarrow Cosplay, faerieprincen, papaya.blossom.cosplay, loveandcrinolines, julia_rampone, thequinnpen, essiecosplays, kirkettecosplay, Samantha Winslow Cosplay, sewpoke_cosplay, karlsweb2, comedy4cast, rocinantecosplay, Boston Joker, Carley Winn Cosplay, sideeyebrigade, Momochi Cosplays, blue_moch1, Inevitable Betrayal Cosplay, World’s End Design, and many more.

We now use Smugmug to present cosplay photo galleries and will post all photos there, with a link to each gallery in its own gallery article. This will allow us to give you higher resolution images to download — still for free.
