Arisia 2020 Sunday-Monday Cosplay Gallery
Because Monday at Arisia 2020 was such a short day, and the day everyone that was staying at the Westin Boston Waterfront was checking out and hitting the road, I took less than three dozen photos. Even combining those with all the photos I took on Sunday didn’t add up to the 120 photo limit I have for breaking a gallery into two. So here is a 110-image gallery of photos from the last two days of the convention.
Now that Arisia 2020 is over, I hope that the apparent lower attendance numbers isn’t going to be a problem for future conventions. The fines it had to pay for violating agreements with its host hotels when it moved have been at least partially covered by a fundraising campaign, according to the Arisia Twitter feed. So it won’t go broke trying to pay those fines. But I suggest that Arisia move further into the pop culture space a little, perhaps by adding a Movie or TV Guest of Honor to its guest categories. Having someone like, say, Joel Kinnaman (Altered Carbon, Robocop) as a guest would still be in keeping with sci-fi and fantasy focus of the convention.
