Bad-Ass Star Wars Ladies From Cape Cod Cosplay Photoshoot Week 2020

We held our fourth annual Cape Cod Cosplay Photoshoot Week last weekend in South Wellfleet, Mass. While technically the event ran from Thursday through Sunday, no cosplayers showed up on Thursday so it was mostly a day filled with planning for the next three. Friday things picked up nicely and Saturday was one of the most well-attended days since we started the event.

As always we were set up at the Southfleet Motor Inn, managed by Alex and my cousin Kota (who goes by ldcos618 on Instagram). Aside from the family connection, the reason we stay at the Southfleet is its central location to so many excellent photo locations. For beaches alone, within a five-minute drive is Indian Neck Beach, Lecount Hollow Beach, White Crest Beach and the famous Marconi Beach. The White Cedar Swamp trailhead parking area is also less than five minutes away, and the back side of the swamp is about 300 yards away across Route 6. This set was shot in that swamp.

Friday morning, when Kota saw Multitudes Cosplay in her Evaan Verlaine cosplay and Not Quite Done Yet Cosplay as Mara Jade, she asked if she could join them as Vice Admiral Holdo, a cosplay she already had made for last year’s event. A short hike down into the swamp later and we got these photos of a trio of tough-as-nails ladies from the expanded Star Wars universe.

We now use Smugmug to present cosplay photo galleries and will post all photos there, with a link to each gallery in its own gallery article. This will allow us to give you higher resolution images to download — still for free.
