Bayonetta Bounces Into Latest Super Smash Bros 4 DLC
Wow, Nintendo, just… wow! I have to say, I thought Cloud was a huge surprise but no… the real surprise was the inclusion of Bayonetta in Super Smash Bros 4. It made me insanely happy to see one of my all time favorite video game characters, and my all time favorite female video game characters added to this game (sorry Samus and Lara Croft).
I honestly did not see this one coming. I said back when Bayonetta 2 was announced that she NEEDS to be in Smash Bros. But I believed it wouldn’t happen, for the same reasons everyone else on the Internet did. So imagine my surprise at her inclusion. And she looks good… VERY GUUD!
I have to say I am very impressed with what I saw in her trailer. There was great attention to detail in her design. The way she walks, poses, jumps, dodges, taunts, even her shadow animation. I love that she is combo focused like she is in her game utilizing her four guns, as well as her hair summons, and special attacks from her own game. She reminds me of Raiden from Metal Gear Rising Revengeance when he was included in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. They are both combo heavy, and also both Platinum Games characters. Bayonetta also uses her witch time in her dodges, slowing down her enemies allowing her to counterattack. Her Final Smash climax time allows you to combo till your heart’s content as a timer counts down to Gamora who will instantly KO any enemy with more than 100 percent damage.
Nintendo even added the Falling Clock Tower stage from Bayonetta as her stage, a very good touch to add. Honestly out of all the DLC, I am looking forward to playing her the most. She might even be my new go-to character over Shulk, Roy, and Ganondorf. Bayonetta has become one of my favorite games and Bayonetta 2 is in my opinion the best game to come out of 2014. I highly suggest you play both games because if you own a WiiU you get both Bayonetta 1 & 2 for the price of one. Also if you are a fan of Devil May Cry — the good ones — you will love this game.
I can’t wait till February to play as Bayonetta and see more of her in action! Oh yeah, there was also some Dragon Knight character from Fire Emblem announced too… but who cares? Bayonetta was the show stealer.
