Black History Month Cosplay Feature: Mr.TUSA-Team
Our second feature highlighting New England area cosplayers for Black History Month is the beloved Mr.TUSA-Team. He is known in the cosplay world as simply “T.” I have been lucky enough to both be able to take pictures of T for six years now, and blessed enough to call him my friend right from the get-go.
Like nearly all cosplayers, T loves the crowd, loves attention, and truly loves the characters he portrays. As you can see, while that means Mr. T as B.A. Baracus from the show The A-Team most often, T has other characters he enjoys portraying. And attention and crowds aside, the feature photo above shows what most cosplayers like best about cosplaying — and what T loves best for sure — is making kids smile.
T also loves to pose with other cosplayers, celebrities and pretty much anyone that asks him to. Which is why the gallery below is loaded up with guest appearances by Eric Moran, Nicole Marie Jean (twice!), Bethany Maddock, Raymond Ramos Cosplay, Spectra, Mr-Incredible, Kitteninstrings Cosplay, HaruVamp, the A-Team‘s original Face, Dirk Benedict, and BelleChere (completely unrecognizable as the crazy clown attacking baby Judith in Tyreese’s arms).
There are a handful of wonderful ways various people and organizations are highlighting black cosplayers this month. One of the best is the hashtag campaign #28DaysofBlackCosplay. I suggest you follow it on whichever social media platform you like best. Chances are it’s trending on there.
