Borderlands Cosplay Over The Years As It Goes To The Switch
With the announcement on March 26 that the game Borderlands would be available for the Nintendo Switch platform, I thought it was good time for a retrospective gallery of Borderlands cosplayers that I have photographed throughout the years. It shouldn’t be a surprise that the character that appears the most in this gallery is Mad Moxxi, since she is one of the most popular among cosplayers — and not just female cosplayers. One of the coolest cosplays of Mad Moxxi is the genderbent one I photographed at DragonCon in 2014.
Sadly, the Switch port isn’t the only news related to Borderlands this past week. Also on March 26, the news broke that Landon Montgomery, the co-founder of the studio that made the Borderlands games, Gearbox Software, died after contracting covid-19. In various roles at a number of game studios, Montgomery worked on games in the Half-Life, Halo and Elder Scrolls franchises, among others.
Cosplayers in this gallery include livingdeadmoxxi, Gogo Incognito, Labinnak & Mangoloo Cosplays, Clillith cosplay, Mink the Satyr Cosplay, electron_warrior, elegantvalkyrie, savannaceleste_, Jessica Nigri, Adventures of Clever, JessilynCupcake Cosplay & Crafts, Blue Electra Cosplay, propheadprops, Carnivalization Cosplay, and many others.
We now use Smugmug to present cosplay photo galleries and will post all photos there, with a link to each gallery in its own gallery article. This will allow us to give you higher resolution images to download — still for free.
