Cape Cod Photoshoot Week 2019 Set, Lady D Cosplay as Cersei
For the past three years in mid-May, we’ve spent more than a week at the Southfleet Motor Inn in South Wellfleet on Cape Cod. Not for a vacation, although it is very relaxing, but for an expanded version of the popular “free photoshoot day” that many cosplay photographers that charge offer as a way to show off their abilities and increase interest.
Our goal is to bring together as many photographers and cosplayers as possible in an area surrounded by amazing locations. The Southfleet is less than a mile from the famous Marconi Beach, and no more than a five minute drive to a handful more, both on the Atlantic Ocean side and the Massachusetts Bay side. Add to that all the sand dunes, scrub pines and juniper, and cedar swamps and you have locations that look like the Australian desert, the Scottish lowlands coast, the African bush and even Dagobah.
For this shoot of our hotel co-manager, cosplayer Lady D Cosplay as Cersei Lannister from Season 1 of Game of Thrones, we initially went to Provincetown to shoot at the Pilgrim Monument, for a stone balcony look. But the rain on Friday just wouldn’t let up, so we drove back past the Southfleet to the public library in Orleans and its gardens in bloom.
We now use Smugmug to present cosplay photo galleries and will post all photos there, with a link to each gallery in its own gallery article. This will allow us to give you higher resolution images to download — still for free.
