CAPE In Pictures, By ‘Not Me!’
If you missed our first ever convention, the Cosplay And Photography Expo (CAPE), this past weekend, these pictures will give you a good sense of what it was like. Since I was busy with organizational stuff, these pictures were taken by contributor Gregg Snider, AKA Wonderllama Cosplay, while he was cosplaying as that dude called FirstPerson Shooter. Almost too meta.
Early on you will see pics of the wonderful vendors in the Dealers Room. Spread throughout are pictures of panels that took place in the auditorium, including panelists Jay Michael Lee of Prop Culture, Bellechere, Human Sushi Cosplay and Mhysa Cosplay.
Wedged in between a shot of MicroKitty Cosplay and Photography in photo mode and the fantastic femme Gambit and Quicksilver is a photo of Psinu Photography in the Photo Studio room, where anyone who wanted to play studio photographer could choose between three different complete setups and shoot for up to 15 minutes — all for free.
At the end you will see pictures of a whole slew of cosplayers as they lined up for the Cosplay Runway Fashion Show and charity fundraiser raffle drawing.
Photo gallery tips: Once the page loads the images, you will see the Forward and Back navigation arrows above the image, in case you want to scroll faster than the preset. And to see the entire gallery as thumbnails, click on the gray four-box square next to the navigation arrows.
