Clowns And Jesters Retrospective Gallery On April Fools’ Day
Rather than making up some sort of “Ha! I tricked you!” jerk-like post for this April Fools’ Day, I decided instead to pull together a gallery of photos I’ve taken over the past decade or so of people cosplaying clowns and jesters. Or characters inspired by clowns and jesters. Well, except those two.
Without a doubt the two most popular clown-based or jester-based characters in all fandoms are the Joker and Harley Quinn. But they have had their own galleries before, and including them in this one would have made it way too massive in number.
That means, of course, that the vast majority of photos are of people cosplaying Pennywise as portrayed by Bill Skarsgård in the 2017 and 2019 movies based on the book It. Not all photos, as we also have Sweet Tooth from Twisted Metal, Twisty from American Horror: Freak Show, and even Captain Spaulding from House of 1,000 Corpses and The Devil’s Rejects. And there’s even a couple of people cosplaying as the original Pennywise as portrayed by the amazing Tim Curry.
