Colossalcon East 2021 Cosplay Gallery And Event Report Part 2

The majority of my second set of photos from Colossalcon East 2021 were taken during the “Genshin Impact Swimsuit Shoot” I hosted during Saturday afternoon at the Kalahari water park’s wave pool. Around 15-20 amazing cosplayers showed up for the meetup/photoshoot, which I would consider to be great turnout, especially considering the somewhat low attendance at the water park that I mentioned in my previous article. I believe the water park actually hit its peak attendance during the weekend at around this time.

Genshin Impact cosplay was fairly popular during the convention, as I saw quite a few other people cosplaying characters from the game during the weekend both at the water park and in the convention center area. There was actually another Genshin Impact meetup held on Friday afternoon of the convention. Unfortunately, I did not arrive at the venue until late in the afternoon on Friday, so I missed out on that one.

The only time I felt it became crowded at the water park was during the after hours night swim on Saturday. Staff was limiting the number of people that could enter the hot tub areas at one time, and was rotating people in and out every 15-20 minutes or so. Parts of the wave pool, where the DJs were pumping out tunes for the “Rave in the Waves” event, also became a bit crowded. I did not attend the night swim on Friday, but I had heard from other attendees that it was significantly less crowded on that day.

Cosplayers in this gallery include kairichristiancosplay, zitchy14, camiicatcosplay, worm.string.cos, viemuartistry, actual_alchemist, lil_inked_maria, mewzieart, icy.itegumo, pmet2010, pinktilia, coszomi, ready_season_one, cosplayparmesan, xavacynx, ladykayleen, and many more.

We now use Smugmug to present cosplay photo galleries and will post all photos there, with a link to each gallery in its own gallery article. This will allow us to give you higher resolution images to download — still for free.
