Colossalcon East 2021 Cosplay Gallery And Event Report Part 3

My third and final set of photos from Colossalcon Eastt 2021 includes photos from late Saturday afternoon and early Sunday afternoon at the Kalahari water park. Attendance at the water park was extremely low during Sunday, even a bit more so than in previous years. Many attendees choose to check out of the hotel and hit the road early on Sunday for the long drive back home. I left the water park at around 2 p.m. on Sunday, and at that point I could probably count the number of cosplayers in that area on one hand.

In 2019, there were personnel changes in a number of different positions in the convention’s management, including the event’s con chair. Although I’m sure they faced many challenges due to the pandemic, I am not aware of any major problems occurring at this year’s event.

In one of my articles on the 2019 event, I mentioned that I considered that year to be “the end of act one” for Colossalcon East on a number of different levels. As this year’s convention was held during the ongoing pandemic, I feel like this year is a bit of an anomaly, and perhaps I’d call it sort of a transitional chapter in between act one and act two, if I’m to continue with my literary analogy.

Here’s hoping that act two, chapter one of Colossalcon East can be titled “The post-pandemic era.”
