ConnectiCon 2023 Cosplay Gallery Part 3
Even though we were only at ConnectiCon for Saturday this year, and even though I had to leave by 4:30 because of cat sitting duty requirements, I still managed to take enough photos for three galleries from the 2023 edition of the convention.
Nerd Caliber founder Manny pointed out during the day that, while it was warm out, it wasn’t the usual 90 degrees and 90+ percent humidity that Hartford experiences during most ConnectiCon events. And that likely led to more people being outside than typical. If that was the case, it is even more surprising that I took enough photos for three galleries, and Manny got enough video for a handful of videos coming up on YouTube. Still, as we were leaving via the outside walkway to the parking garage, I saw more than a dozen cosplayers I had never seen inside, all of whom were so good I almost set up my gear right there (if I had the time). Whoever that Jet cosplay from Cowboy Bebop was, kudos to you. Amazing.
I would like to point out once again just how smooth my experience at ConnectiCon was this year, despite the staff and volunteer numbers being below what is typically needed. Over the years I’ve had my problems with the convention and the Connecticut Convention Center it is held in, but this year was one of the better experiences there that I have had.
