Cosplay At The Grand Opening Of CosMom ConShop

One of the earliest vendors we had at the Cosplay And Photography Expo was CosMom ConShop. So, when I saw that they were opening a retail store location in Nashua, NH, after years as a convention vendor, I was thrilled for them. And when David reached out to me to see if I would set up my portable studio during their Grand Opening on Feb. 1, I was happy to do so. If my presence brought just a few more people to the event than otherwise might not attend, that would be great.
On the day of the event, most of New England was dealing with a light snowstorm, following a couple of days of melting warmth, so the smaller roads were pretty crappy. Luckily, by the time I made it to 100 Main Street in Nashua, the snow had stopped, and the skies were clearing up, making weather less of a concern for attendees. And, to my pleasure, I saw people I knew coming from more than an hour’s drive away to check out the new store that sold nerdy goods with a focus on items useful for cosplay.
Among the things attendees could enjoy aside from perusing the store’s goods were D&D sessions for beginners or experienced players, a cosplay contest, tarot readings, a chill beanbag-filled videogame lounge area, and a raffle. Oh, and free cake.
All told, I had a great time, met a bunch of new people, took almost the same number of photos as I did at Arisia two weeks prior, and supported some good folks and their cool business.
