Crash: The Photos CAPE Beach Free Shoot Day

Before he became an excellent cosplay photographer and our Associate Producer here at Nerd Caliber, Crash: The Photos was a cosplayer. He still dons a costume on occasion, and he decided to do this wonderful beach version of Roadhog for our Cosplay And Photography Expo Beach Free Shoot Day.

The gas mask was made by the amazing Thatgearsguy (one of our CAPE panelists last year). While it looks like rubber and metal, it is almost entirely EVA foam and weighs almost nothing — helpful when wearing it in the bright sun for hours.

On Labor Day weekend, we invited cosplayers and photographers to join us on Plum Island, which starts in Newburyport, Mass., and is so long it passes through two more towns before ending in the area of the town of Ipswich.

Photo gallery tips: Once the page loads the images, you will see the Forward and Back navigation arrows above the image, in case you want to scroll faster than the preset. And to see the entire gallery as thumbnails, click on the gray four-box square next to the navigation arrows.
