Devil May Cry DLC: Vergil’s Downfall
On March 6, 2013, the DmC DLC Vergil’s Downfall was released on the Playstation Network, and Xbox Marketplace. The DLC adds a new section in the main game, giving players a new single-player campaign featuring Vergil as the main character.
The DLC has its own leaderboard, stats and set of achievements. The story of this game may confuse players at first, but as you progress in the story you start to realize what is going on exactly. The story is a tale of internal struggle as Vergil’s dark side starts to corrupt him, showing his fall into darkness, turning into his counterpart from DMC 3.
The gameplay for Vergil is pretty similar to his DMC 3 counterpart. Fans of the series will recognize new moves, and those who have played DmC throughout will recognize moves. As you progress you can learn new skills, and moves. Not to mention gaining more powers throughout the story. In retrospect this fills the gap between DmC (which most think of as an alternate reality prequel to the original DMC series.
I recommend this download for those who have finished the DmC game, and are fans of the series, and also Vergil.
