Fan Expo Boston Red Carpet Gallery Friday
We have been lucky enough to have a studio setup of some sort at every Fan Expo Boston since it acquired Boston Comic Con. But this year we were asked to be the photographers for Fan Expo’s new program across all of its conventions, the cosplay Red Carpet.
For a 30-40 minute period a number of times throughout the conventions, cosplayers are invited to walk a red carpet and get photos taken by an experienced cosplay photographer. That role for us was filled by Gregg of Wonderllama Photography, who had some experience having done so at MegaCon in Orlando earlier this year.
In exchange, we got our own booth this year right next to the Cosplay Contest signup booth, instead of sharing their booth as we’ve done in years past.
The photos are in a gallery on our SmugMug account, but unlike when we post our own photos — like when the studio galleries go up later this week — the Red Carpet galleries will be public so they can be shared with anyone your might recognize in the photos.
