Fan Expo Boston Saturday Cosplay Gallery Part 1

Between getting home after 10 p.m. Friday night and having to have the studio ready by 9:30 a.m. Saturday, I also somehow managed to get a whole five hours of sleep. Anticipating a very busy Saturday, I was worried I wouldn’t make it all the way to 7 p.m. But unlike a usual busy convention, I didn’t experience the large peaks and valleys of cosplayers looking for photos at Fan Expo Boston 2023, but a more consistent flow of people. I had a high number of three cosplayers (or groups) waiting at one time, and that only happened a few times.

Part of the reason for my poor sleep was concern over how I was going to do the large cosplay group photoshoot that Fan Expo cosplay master Pat Covey set up fairly last minute. Huge props to Gregg of Wonderllama Photography for stepping up and doing the shoot for me, just a little while after he did the Saturday Red Carpet photos. About the Saturday and Sunday Red Carpet galleries — they will be posted here after the last of the studio galleries. I’m doing it that way because I will be able to tag more cosplayers in those galleries after I’ve tagged them in the studio galleries.

One thing that was a problem on Friday but not Saturday was the food and drink issue. The food court opened at 11, I brought some snacks this time, and we still had most of the water bottles Juan brought for us on Friday. While Gregg mixed things up with a choose-your-own ingredients salad from one of the vendors, I sticked with Sweet Tomatoes pizza again.
