First Saturday Gallery From AnimeNYC by Adam Etheridge

Saturday is typically the day that brings out the highest quantity of cosplayers at any multi-day convention, and Anime NYC was no exception. I spent most of the morning and early afternoon hours on Saturday taking photos in front of Anime NYC banner near the entrance to the building. The overcast skies that we had on much of the day on Saturday helped make this an ideal location to shoot during that time.

Perhaps the most unique cosplay of the day goes to a gentleman that was running around in a re-creation of Takumi Fujiwara’s AE86 Toyota Sprinter Trueno from the anime series Initial D. This first of two photo galleries from Saturday also features a nice dose of video game-related cosplay (which is always a personal favorite of mine), including cosplay from Final Fantasy, Persona, and Overwatch.

Among the cosplayers in this first of two galleries from Saturday are KBV Photography & Cosplay, StupidMunky Cosplay, Yuki Crissy, Ezerath Designs, kriyonceart, besamei, and many more.

Photo gallery tips: Once the page loads the images, you will see the Forward and Back navigation arrows above the image, in case you want to scroll faster than the preset. And to see the entire gallery as thumbnails, click on the gray four-box square next to the navigation arrows.
