Free Comic Book Day 2017 at Double Midnight, Part 1
This past Saturday’s Free Comic Book Day at Double Midnight Comics in Manchester, NH, was not quite as well attended as previous years due to rainy weather. That said, the store set another record for people lining up to get the first-in-line prizes — the first person settled in Thursday evening.
Even with the rain, we managed to grab enough photos of cosplayers for the costume contest to fill up three galleries. Like last year, we set up a portable studio in a next-door empty storefront space.
During the event we held a giveaway for a night’s stay at the Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites in Nashua, NH, the home of this year’s Cosplay And Photography Expo. The winner will be announced shortly. We also planned to give away half of all ticket sales from May 6 to the PBS Foundation, and we will be sending it a check for $100.
Among the cosplayers in this gallery are BT Costumes, Samantha Young Cosplay, Powers Family CozPlay, Zombie Leader, Mini Mal Cosplay, LenaKali Cosplay?, Aemiliaaaaaa, Sara Chaos, Alie_Lynn, Metallic Moon Cosplay, Lucky Grim Creative, AkaneSaotome Cosplay, and many more.
Photo gallery tips: Once the page loads the images, you will see the Forward and Back navigation arrows above the image, in case you want to scroll faster than the preset. And to see the entire gallery as thumbnails, click on the gray four-box square next to the navigation arrows.
High-res images for sale!
If you are pictured in any of our galleries and want the high resolution download for yourself, we can make it available via a private, password-protected link, for $8 per image. Just send an email to editor AT nerdcaliber.com.
We are also now selling high resolution images of some of the photos taken of cosplayers that have agreed to let us do so.
