Granite State Comicon 2021 Sunday Cosplay Gallery Part 2
By early afternoon on Sunday at Granite State Comicon 2021, the children were gathering for the Kids Costume Contest and I was well into a bag of the free Takis Waves Fuego potato chips. Shout out for one of my friends among the Red Shirt con volunteers for scoring me one of the many, many leftover cases of the chips to take home with me. A week and a half later and I still have half a case — or only have half a case depending on your point of view.
Kitty corner across the Armory from where I was taking photos was the space for the New England Brethren of Pirates, who were raising funds for the Boys and Girls Club of Manchester, N.H. It was Capt. Jack Sparrow himself, Brandon, who first got me hooked (no pun intended) on the Takis chips when he threw a bag at me on Saturday. As I sat there between photos watching people donate $5 for the chance to sword fight Capt. Jack on a narrow plank, I had an idea.
What if I put out a call on my social media that if I got 10 people to donate at least $5 each before 4 p.m. that day, I would take on Capt. Jack in a best-of-three match? Brandon loved the idea, and so it happened. While he cleaned my clock (three times in a row I lost my balance and stepped off the plank), we did raise an additional $65 in a short amount of time. GraniteCon was the last event of 2021 for the New England Brethren of Pirates, but we both want to do that again some day soon. And not just because I demand a rematch.
Cosplayers in this final GraniteCon 2021 gallery include kolourfulgurl, Rangerpool cosplay, jill_vancity, dankstorm.props, bigbearcosplay, bacchanalianshark, J. Jester cosplay, lil_lexi_panda, and many more.
We now use Smugmug to present cosplay photo galleries and will post all photos there, with a link to each gallery in its own gallery article. This will allow us to give you higher resolution images to download — still for free.
