Energy drinks, they have become quite popular in the last decade. People use them to increase performance and stamina at work, stay alert on the road for long trips, and I am sure most of you reading this on this site have used them at conventions. These drinks are quite popular but do you know what is actually inside any of these? Well, a 16 oz can of Red bull has 110 calories, 0 fat, 100 mg sodium, 26 grams of sugar. That might not seem too bad, but there is too much sodium and sugars. No, I am not here to teach you about nutrition. What I do want to show you is how to make your very own energy drink that will be much healthier for you.
All you need for a basic energy drink. Ginseng, which is an herb used to increase your stamina and physical abilities, fruit juice of your choice, and some fruits or berries to blend in. You can view the full recipe in the video below. How do you decide on what to put in your energy drink? Well decide on a theme or what you want to base your drink on. It is very easy, and quite fun. I call my drink “Kaioken” because of Goku’s ability to give himself short power boosts. Speaking of which, while this is healthier for you than an energy drink you would buy at the store, you still want to be careful and not take it in large doses.
