How Your Comic Book Trivia Can Help Superstorm Sandy Victims
Rally Downtown was created after Superstorm Sandy struck New York City in order to help small businesses get back on their feet. Nearly every business lost a week of revenue, inventory and other assets. Sales have still not bounced back for those lucky enough to have survived intact and reopen their doors.
Currently, Rally helps drive traffic to small businesses in creative ways, and is committed to donating a minimum of 10% of their revenue to local nonprofit organizations.
On Sunday, August 25th, Rally Downtown, along with Comic Book Jones, will host a comic book trivia night. The super powered event will take place at The Village Pourhouse at 64 3rd Ave. Tickets are $50.00 per team of up to 4 members. The Pourhouse will buy the 1st round of beer, and then the teams will face off in 3 rounds of challenging comic book trivia questions. The team that answers the most questions right will win a 250-dollar gift certificate to the Comic Book Jones store. That wont be the end for the Trivia heroes though. Next they will pit wits against the “Dream Team” of Comic book Jones choosing. If they are beaten in comic book trivia battle, the winning team will receive an extra 100 dollars to spend at the store.
A portion of the profits will go to the non-profit organization YAI to help them continue to inspire people with disabilities though art programs.
