Katsucon 2023 Friday Gallery by Wonderllama Photo
It’s been 3 long years since the last time I was at Katsucon — February 2020, just weeks before covid went global and shut down conventions for ages. So I was super excited to get back to the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center just outside D.C. and fight tooth and nail to shoot for 30 seconds at the Gazebo. Or literally anywhere else in the center — outside, in nooks, and as you’ll see in my Friday gallery, a hallway with a stone wall.
On Friday, I finally got to shoot with a wonderful model from Boston, senpaim00n. We’ve been friends online for a while but this was the first time we met and worked together. I also had the good fortune of meeting and shooting with some amazing cosplayers and all-around lovely human beings doing an incredible couture DC Sirens group: mk_cosplays as Poison Ivy, fantastliv and rulerofpebbles doing two versions of Harley, and cupcakesandcosplay — who made all the costumes — as Catwoman. I also caught up with cosplay friends pashavixen as well as myratheoncosplay for the first time in ages and got some great shots with each of them.
We use Smugmug to present cosplay photo galleries and post all photos there, with a link to each gallery in its own gallery article. This allows us to give you higher resolution images to download — still for free.
