Looking For An Alternative To Comixology? Black Sands Entertainment Is The Answer.

I love Comixology, but most times I’m starving for new content. I’m also looking for new stories featuring people of color as main characters, which is still rare, and there are even fewer written and produced by POC.

In the video below, we interview Manuel Godoy, who is the publisher of Black Sands Entertainment, one of the top black independent publishers in the United States. Black Sands Entertainment has produced stories such as Black Sands (think Avatar: The Last Airbender meets African mythology) and Mori’s Family Adventures, a children’s story of a family trip to South Africa.

The big news is that in February 2021, BSE is creating a comic book reading app similar to Comixology that will feature more stories of people of color written by people of color. Check out our video below to get all the details about BSE’s plans.
