May The 4th Be With You With This Princess Leia Gallery

Today is May the 4th, Star Wars Day, and not just for people with lisps. To mark the occasion I pulled together a new gallery of photos I’ve taken over the years of people cosplaying Leia Organa (Skywalker-Amidala).

I say new gallery because I published one more than four years ago, on Dec. 26, 2016, to note the passing of the amazing Carrie Fisher. Since then, I have taken many more photos of Leia cosplay, and surprisingly with a decreasing ratio of photos of the slave bikini versus either her outfits from the original trilogy, or as Gen. Organa from the final trilogy. That’s not to say there aren’t still an abundance of Slave Leia photos in this gallery, and particularly a wide variety of mashups of Slave Leia and some other character. While they are all very creative, among my favorites are Slave Leia Joker and Slave Leia Elsa.

There are a handful of cosplayers that appear multiple times in various Leia costumes in this gallery. But hands down the cosplayer with the widest assortment of Leia looks is theamazingjoy, even including cosplay of the fake bounty hunter Boushh from Return of the Jedi. I may not have taken a photo of each one of them, but I believe Joy has cosplayed ever single costume or look that Leia appeared in from the movies.

Among the other cosplayers in this gallery are bostonbeecosplay, Koi Fish Asylum, Haruvamp, craftsandnarcissism, Inevitable Betrayal Cosplay, smoochum302, rebellionbarbie, MicroKitty, cosp_lai, faerieprincen, and supporting cosplayers R.W. Martin, Myratheon Cosplay, Mini Mal Cosplay, wmoskaluk3, whenfandomstrikesofficial, and many more.

We now use Smugmug to present cosplay photo galleries and will post all photos there, with a link to each gallery in its own gallery article. This will allow us to give you higher resolution images to download — still for free.
