MegaCon 2022 Masters of Cosplay Contestants by Wonderllama Photo
The level of competition at the MegaCon Orlando Masters of Cosplay – Sunshine Qualifier is ridiculously high. Most of the cosplayers in the Journeyman division could probably win Masters-level contests in almost any other competition. Every year, people bring a new level of skill, execution and creativity to the competition.
Contestants accepted into the competition meet with three Masters-level judges for a thorough pre-judging, where every aspect of their cosplay is evaluated and reviewed. While they’re in the judging suite, I have a chance to take photos of their incredible work in a mini studio, as part of a deal Nerd Caliber has with a couple of conventions put on by Fan Expo.
My apologies to everyone for the delay in editing and posting these photos. I caught the ‘rona at MegaCon 2022 and was pretty out of it for almost 10 days. Working on photos took a back seat to sitting quietly and bingeing Netflix. Thanks for your patience and check back soon for photos from the contest.
