MegaCon 2025 Thursday Cosplay Gallery By Cantera Image

While New England, the home base for most of the Nerd Caliber team, was getting covered in 3-5 inches of heavy, wet snow, team member Manny of Cantera Image was in Orlando, FL, enjoying the much warmer temperatures at MegaCon Orlando. As he has for the past few years, Manny wandered the show floor and hallways of the Orange County Convention Center to get photos of some of the always awesome cosplayers at one of the country’s oldest conventions.

MegaCon started in 1993, and pandemic shutdown aside, has operated continuously since. In 2015 the convention was acquired by international event conglomerate Informa, and was rolled under the umbrella of Toronto-based Fan Expo. Unlike most acquisitions in which Fan Expo changed the convention name to Fan Expo (blank), such as Fan Expo Boston or Fan Expo Philadelphia, MegaCon — perhaps because of its long history — kept its name.
