Nurses Day Retrospective Gallery Of Nurse Cosplay

It is Nurses Day today, and that gives me a reason to gather photos of people cosplaying nurse characters from conventions I’ve been to over the past 10 years.

To be serious before the fun, there is no way to properly express how much we owe to nurses (and all other health care workers) in general and particularly over the last 14 months during the global pandemic. Nurses and all health care workers literally put their lives on the line — and some cases lost those lives — to keep the rest of us safe. We owe them way more than just a single day of recognition.

That said, let me describe how I made my choices. Obvious inclusions in the gallery are actual nurse characters, like the Silent Hill nurses, Nurse Joy from Pokemon, Recovery Girl from My Hero Academia and Valentine from Skullgirls. Others are nurse version of characters not usually in that look, like Nurse Joker from The Dark Knight, Nurse Akali from League of Legends, and the nurse version of Panty and Stocking.

You might ask why the Jane Foster version of Thor is not in here. This is because, until Thor: Love and Thunder hits theaters on May 6, 2022, this version of Thor only exists in the comics, and Jane was a nurse, not an astrophysicist as in the MCU.

Cosplayers in this gallery include Uncle Iroh Cosplay, minnie_cosplays, Nessie Cosplays, Everyone’s Hero Cosplay, chantelantoinette, Gogo Incognito, Bunny Moon Cosplay, teragarm, princessgigglesnort, theamazingjoy, djadedemaria, AlanaleilaniAn Awkward Kaylee, Carley Winn Cosplay, spectravita, Christina Costello, and many more.

We now use Smugmug to present cosplay photo galleries and will post all photos there, with a link to each gallery in its own gallery article. This will allow us to give you higher resolution images to download — still for free.
