Nylon-Wearing Cosplay Gallery On Nylon Stockings Day!
Today is Nylon Stockings Day, according to the funny calendar day app I have in my Google Calendar. So I pulled together a retrospective gallery of cosplayers portraying characters known for wearing nylon or fishnet stockings. After looking through more than 200 images from just half of my archive, I decided I needed to narrow the criteria down a lot.
So here are characters for whom wearing nylon or fishnet stockings is a defining characteristic. That means DC’s stalwarts Black Canary and Zatanna (and one awesome White Canary), as well as Faye Valentine, Quiet from Metal Gear Solid, Mai Sakurajima from Bunny Girl Senpai, Lisa from Weird Science and even a single Tharja from Fire Emblem.
Speaking of Mai-san, since her character is defined by her bunny girl outfit with nylons, she is in this gallery but the many bunny Bulma or Battle Bunny Riven cosplays I’ve photographed are not. While those versions are among the most popular for cosplayers, they are not the only nor the original costumes for the character. So all of the many bunny version cosplays are out.
Cosplayers in this gallery include Nicole Marie Jean, Briezerker, vixenjay_, MicroKitty, When Fandom Strikes, WyldRyce Cosplay, Katastrophe Cosplay, Jo Fate, Kelly Green, faerieprincen, penny_lane_cosplay, Jessica Mercy, italianpeachcosplayfit, senpaim00n, Kitsune Kid, Gina B.
