PAX East 2020 Friday Gallery Part 1 by FirstPerson Shooter

While nearly of the photos in my galleries from PAX East 2020 were taken by me, this gallery from Friday starts with photos taken by our team member Byron D. Zero, while I was moderating our panel Advanced Cosplay Q&A. Although the panel was scheduled for mid-afternoon and this gallery is from the morning, it was just too much of a pain to place them in chronological position, so I started the galleries with Byron’s shots taken on my gear.

I’ll have more on the panel in the next gallery post so stayed tuned for that.

Last year I shot enough photos on Friday for four galleries, but only enough for three this year. And in this case it had nothing to do with covid-19 fears. For the first time in my recollection, the lobby was divided up with a rope barrier blocking off the left one-third of the lobby for exit only. And since I set up on the left side as I have for the past two years, I missed grabbing many cosplayers coming in for the entire morning on both Thursday and Friday.

We now use Smugmug to present cosplay photo galleries and will post all photos there, with a link to each gallery in its own gallery article. This will allow us to give you higher resolution images to download — still for free.
