PAX East 2020 Friday Gallery Part 2 by FirstPerson Shooter

For the past few years, we’ve not only attended PAX East as press but also have moderated panels related to cosplay and cosplay photography. This year we had just one panel, our usual Advanced Cosplay Q&A, which we cosponsored with our own event, the Cosplay And Photography Expo, coming up July 18-19 in Mansfield, Mass.

This year our expert cosplayer panelists were Lucky Grim Creative, sledgehammercreative and Steel Shield Cosplay. The panel was Friday at 3:30 in Cuttlefish theater, and we nearly filled the room with attendees. The panelists were fielding questions right until we ran out of time, then spent time after the panel in the hallway outside to answer more questions.

On a side note, while I was walking back to the lobby from Cuttlefish, I kept passing people with paper bowls shaped like dog food dishes, full of french fries. I didn’t realize until I saw on an Instagram post that they were from the Wicked Good Fries fair vendor booth, which was at PAX East. Wicked Good Fries is a staple at Fryeburg Fair and I have adored its hand-cut french fries for years, being a native of Fryeburg, Maine. I was crushed to have missed it.

Cosplayers in this second of three Friday galleries from me include maplesaurcosplay, 30 Seconds to Live, nikita_83sewpoke_cosplay, misanthrobotic, cixcdoesfallout, pretty_nerdy_crystal, Mink the Satyr Cosplay, jagscosplay, Khanplayewe, When Fandom Strikes, sisucosplayandcraft, Steel Shield Cosplay, queenofcoatscosplay, bostonbeecosplay, Kurygeon Cosplay, millettantart, lastladyjane, Lady Mana, nevaeh_purefoy, nataliefuinha, Dragoness Cosplay, gracedbycosplay, the.professional.fangirl, and many more.

We now use Smugmug to present cosplay photo galleries and will post all photos there, with a link to each gallery in its own gallery article. This will allow us to give you higher resolution images to download — still for free.
