PAX East 2024 Saturday Cosplay Gallery by FirstPerson Shooter Part 1

Instead of my home on coastal Mass., during PAX East 2024 I was staying in the Concord, Mass. area, housesitting for family on vacation. Out there, on Saturday we had light snow and freezing rain until around sunrise. In order to not smash my loaner car on an icy road, I waited until about 9:30 a.m. before leaving for the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, so I didn’t get on site until about 10:30. That worked out OK, since nobody was going to take our remote spot before other team members got there, and few cosplayers were up and about before then.

That bad weather, which lasted all day and got even worse by the end of the day, meant that the light coming into the seating area was more consistent than on Friday, which is good for photographers. At least, those of us willing to spend all day indoors. Even when it is freezing cold outside, if the sun is shining, many photographers and cosplayers are willing to brave the cold and get outside during PAX East. That wasn’t possible Saturday, with the rain never stopping completely, and often ramping up to heavy downpours.

Cosplayers in this first of three Saturday galleries include doctorcozzplay, seikanightskye, srona58, christians_comics87, cuzako, thealieann, alisonbirbz, s_noelle_cosplay, ixneedxaxlife, sagittary_studios, ashesdaphoenix, Mink the Satyr Cosplay, Carley Winn Cosplay, uju_cosplay, cartergriffen777, and many more. Also, there’s one more photo than normal of Carley Winn Cosplay as Harley Quinn, because I had to get a shot of team member and Associate Editor Gregg of Wonderllama Photography carrying his lighting gear away from our spot to do some photos of his own.

We now use Smugmug to present cosplay photo galleries and will post all photos there, with a link to each gallery in its own gallery article. This will allow us to give you higher resolution images to download — still for free.
