Hit Deck-Building Game

Ready-to-Play Card Game Is Complete out of the BoxNow in Stores

Irvine, CA (April 26, 2012)—Following the hugely successful launch of Penny Arcade™: The Game, Gamers vs. Evil last year, Penny Arcade and Cryptozoic Entertainment™, the premier developer of original and licensed games, today announced the launch of a second deck-building game, Rumble in R’lyeh. Similar to the original game, Penny Arcade: The Game, Rumble in R’lyeh is a deck-building game that is complete out of the box, featuring all-new cards and art from more classic Penny Arcade web comics. Now available in hobby stores and online, Rumble in R’lyeh also introduces a new card type, Gold cards, playable with both editions of the game.

“We knew that we liked it, but we were sort of surprised at how well people seemed to enjoy it,” said Penny Arcade writer person Jerry Holkins.  “‘More Of A Good Thing’ seemed like a pretty solid business plan.”

Both Penny Arcade deck-building games feature art and fan-favorite characters from the top web comic and let fans play as Gabe, Tycho or other characters. With the release of Rumble in R’lyeh, there is even more Penny Arcade content to enjoy. Players explore Gabe’s Gross Mouth, harness the dubious power of Bono Trask: Timesqueezer, and fall under the curse of TouchWeiners’s dark double: the Were-Swan.

“We’re excited to launch Rumble and bring fans even more Penny Arcade greatness,” said Scott Gaeta, chief operating office for Cryptozoic. “Each game is awesome by itself, but fans can easily mix the two sets together for the ultimate crazy ride through the sublimely bizarre world of the Penny Arcade web comic.”

Ideal for two to four players fifteen years or older, Penny Arcade: The Game, Rumble in R’lyeh is now available online and in hobby stores for $44.99 and includes 406 all-new game cards for a 30-minute game.
