PopCult Anime Con 2019 Cosplay Gallery Part 1
In its third year, the nascent convention PopCult Anime Con seemed to have jumped in attendance numbers significantly from the previous year. That isn’t surprising — it is a very well-run event that has most of the hallmarks of a bigger anime convention, such as a deathmatch, a masquerade and all sorts of panels. And being based at the Sheraton Framingham hotel, with its castle crenelations and brick arch hallways helps with photography.
Of course, I set up in the same spot as I usually do for the other convention held there, Super MegaFest. Just outside the dinging room I can see people walking the hallway, and take advantage of the interesting background and white ceiling to bounce a flash for soft, diffused light. Right out of the gate PopCult Anime Con drew excellent cosplays, and this year is no different.

We now use Smugmug to present cosplay photo galleries and will post all photos there, with a link to each gallery in its own gallery article. This will allow us to give you higher resolution images to download — still for free.
