PopCult Anime Con 2022 Sunday Gallery Part 2
Sunday afternoon the foyer in which I had my studio set up was packed to the corners with anime idol cosplayers, all there for the Idol Festival. Established idol groups, like Susume→PARADISE, and ad hoc groups of friends cosplaying just for this event, all got their chances to display their idol dancing skills in front of the large audience. However, you won’t see very many idols in this gallery, as they were all stretching, practicing or just anxiously waiting for the showcase to start, and I felt it would have been bad form to ask them to gather and pose for photos.
If you’ve noticed, there is a bit of window light coming through my backdrop in the right upper corner of some images. That is because I set up my backdrop against the elevated walkway, and the large glass-walled entryway was in my field of view. Jack from hailiumworkshop, after he got out of the amazing huge Death cosplay from Soul Eater that you can see in the previous gallery, was chatting with me about life and stuff, and asked about the window light. I mentioned it wasn’t a big problem but was noticeable. He then pointed to the wall to my left and asked, “Why didn’t you set up facing this wall instead?”
Sometimes the obvious isn’t that obvious until someone points it out. After a few well-chosen curse words, I made a note to take his advice next year.
In this final gallery from PopCult Anime Con 2022 you will find cosplayers lily0fthedawn, Blue Eyed Fairy Cosplay and More, viajeras_, beaniethe13th, splashsws, oceanman_cosplays, jacky.ha.313, Locomania22, notprofessionalcosplay, vahlance, silverfalconcosplay, apocalypse.unicorn, and many more.
We now use Smugmug to present cosplay photo galleries and will post all photos there, with a link to each gallery in its own gallery article. This will allow us to give you higher resolution images to download — still for free.
